I’m Philip Jean-Pierre — a UX Strategist and hands-on designer/researcher with two decades of experience turning messy, high-stakes problems into clear, usable digital products. My work sits at the intersection of UX research, interaction design, and product strategy, with a specialty in government and civic tech—where trust, accessibility, and real-world constraints aren’t “nice to have,” they’re the whole job.
I’m passionate about building services that respect people’s time and dignity. Professionally, I’ve supported and led UX strategy, research programs, and end-to-end design for organizations including the Social Security Administration (SSA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Leidos, Lynker, Manhattan Strategy Group, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). My project work often includes research orchestration, strategic synthesis, journey mapping, service design, usability testing, and high-fidelity prototyping—especially for complex workflows where security, compliance, and user trust are critical.
Notable work includes modernization and mobile experience efforts in public-sector digital services (including multi-factor authentication and mobile-first workflows), as well as AI-enabled research and interface strategy that helps teams validate models and make insights usable for real operators—not just dashboards that look impressive. Much of my work is under NDA, but I can share representative artifacts and detailed case study discussions upon request.
