Starjammer

StarJammer is a personal UX project I started to employ UX methodology —and effectively integrate AI into my UX workflow.

In a focused sprint (2 weeks), I ran discovery, created a persona-led IA with audience “modes,” and translated research into high-fidelity UI and handoff-ready specs. AI helped accelerate synthesis, ideation, UX writing, and iteration while keeping the work research-grounded.

UX is how I turn messy, high-stakes systems into trust you can tap—powered by research, sharpened by AI, proven in the real world.

A. I and Empathy

What ultimately must be remembered is human empathy — no, not as a buzzword, but as a real, practical capability. It’s the ability to notice when something is off even when the metrics look perfect, and to understand what someone needs even when they can’t fully put it into words. Empathy is what turns strategy into judgment, experience into contextual wisdom, and credibility into trust. It’s what prompts the question that actually matters.

AI can analyze, summarize, and accelerate work at a pace no human can match. But on its own, it’s directionless.

It doesn’t care who’s affected, what’s at stake, or why the outcome matters. Without human empathy to frame the problem, weigh the tradeoffs, and anchor decisions in real lived reality, AI is just computation. The advantage isn’t choosing between humans and AI — it’s using AI’s power in service of human understanding.
